I agree with Bear, my first computer was an apple performa 550 and that thing was still running perfectly in 2005 when I sold it (not that I hadn't upgraded before then)
I still have my Macintosh Plus that I bought in 1986, with its 9-inch black and white screen , 1 full megabyte of memory (a very big deal at the time) and no hard drive. It's been on a shelf in my garage for the past dozen years but I can't seem to bring myself to get rid of it.
I found it really hard to part with mine.. It was so good! I think it's cool you kept it that long, it's a bit of a totem to the progress of technology

Currently have the iPhone 4. It does everything I can ask for.
In the UK, think we are still a way off the next generation LTE/4G upgrade across all mobile networks.
For these reasons, I've no urge to upgrade to the iPhone 5.

Yep, Slyfive. The beard is upgrading, alright. And no expensive new phone contracts either.
Really enjoy wearing a beard.

Thanks Slyfive. Went bald about 8 months ago and later thought a beard might go well with it.
A bog brush ? That is funny.

Patience, Grasshopper. Twenty years from now your beard will be nice and thick like Mr. Jules'.

Sometimes you have to go thru the "brush" look to see if a little extra length will let you get some control, but it's always an individual thing to see what's there. It's a journey, not a race--enjoy the experience.

I'm bearded, but I will stay on topic.
Never had an iPhone. I have an Android phone, but I'm downgrading to a feature phone when my contract ends in January. Just don't use it enough to warrant the monthly expense...
Anyway, I personally don't care for Apple products at all, really. My experience with them has taught me that they are grossly overpriced, and really aren't much better (if at all) than the competition (read: over-hype). Plus, they tend to be very specific about what programs and hardware they will work with, which is a big no-no for me.
My 2 cents, of course.

I'm still using my Iphone 4s and I don't think I'll be purchasing an Iphone 5 just yet. But I love the new security features of the Iphone 5, I heard it got finger print scan on it.
