Hi, first of all thank you for your attention. I have a terrible head shape, i'd really need some advice. I'm very scared of how i will look with no hair at all. I have terrible oblong head.. Sorry for my english. I'd like to post photos but only if members of the forum could see them. I think your opinion would be very helpful. Thank you very much!!

Welcome.
Your English is just fine. No concerns about that.
Naturally, it's not possible to comment specifically on your head shape without seeing it ... but, this has been a frequent worry among many of the guys who have posted here. And I cannot recall a single one of them who was disappointed once they finally shaved their hair. I also cannot think of a guy here (or that I've seen in public) whom I thought ... "Gee, his head is shaped oddly and doesn't look good."
It seems that hair accentuates skull irregularities in some way. Lack of hair is like magic - the oddities disappear. And in the few cases where there is a surgical scar it's merely a point of interest, to celebrate being unique.
Hope that's of some help. You'll only know when you shave, and if you don't like it the hair will grow back. But remember it's your head and you are with it every minute of every day. Don't allow yourself to be influenced by comments from others regardless of how well-meaning they are. Sometimes, when people see something surprising and unexpected they speak without thinking.
Keep us posted on your journey. Why are you considering shaving now?

Well, a buzz cut is something you could choise, a shaved head means something you cannot escape from. I'm 35 and i've always been "nice", you know never had problems with girls. But a totally bald head terrifies me. I've a big forehead and i guess an oblong head shape. But with hair it was not so evident.. So i'm afraid to do it. But i'm obsessed by this at the moment so the quality of my life is getting worse. I know there are other situations in life much more important than this one, but..
Anyway thank you for your reply

Nuanda ... if this has become this much of an issue, you need to take control (which you can). Just a couple of items to consider:
* The size of your forehead is defined by the space between your hair and your eyebrows. When the hair is gone there is no point of reference, and the size of your forehead becomes irrelevant. This has been a concern expressed by others in the past - and experience has been that the "big forehead" problem just deisappears.
* You can gradually shorten your hair from current length to buzz cut. Depending on you, that may be a good way to go or if may just prolong the agony. There is a recent post by Slyer (within the last week) where he went from long hair to shaved; he posted pictures before and after and you can see what a dramatic improvement it has been. Perhaps that will help you decide.
Frequently, if guys have the curiosity about shaving all the way it is something they need to do - at least once - to know how it feels.
You're still going to be 35. You're still going to be nice. And you're still going to get the girls - as long as you are confident about yourself. Sounds like the hair issues are becoming a problem, and diminishing your confidence.
There's lots of information on this site - about everything you could possibly want to know about hair loss and dealing with it. And if you don't see it, just ask.
But you need to take action so this doesn't totally overtake your thoughts and emotions. After all, it's just hair.

I assume you are balding and want to shave your head.
Just go for it, I mean, how bad could it be? If hair is really putting the brakes on you living your life, then I say go for it. Rid yourself of that burden and shave it!
My recommendation to you, I'm not sure what your skin tone is, but a pale head is far less attractive than a tan one, so hit up the tanning salon or get some nice sun

Keeping the hair emphasizes your head shape. Have a big forehead? Shave the head, no more big forhead. Just a nice bald head. We need to see pictures to properly give you opinions.

Big forehead? When you shave the dome it's all forehead!
I've said before, and I'll say again: unless your head has been run over by a truck (and you are still among the living), head shape is non-starter. Even if it's been run over by a truck, you'll be "interesting."
Frankly, this hesitation over head shaving is a kind of sublimated castration anxiety. "Lose my hair... lose my masculinity!" Nonsense. There's nothing more male than a smooth head.
Avoid razors at the crotch; apply them above the neck. Oh, maybe keep the beard.
Just sayin'

If anyone has a BIG HEAD it's me. Try to find a hat. It's hard. Most stores don't sell hats that fit comfortably. They are all too small. Occasionally I find a hat that is big enough.
Now that I'm bald, my head does not look big. It fits me.
Every guy who has had the itch to shave his head, and goes for it always says, "It was no big issue". "why did I worry so much". "I should have done it sooner".
We hear it all the time here on SBG. You may be the next one.
Go ahead and shave your head. It only takes about a week to be back to a buzz #1 cut, but I bet you'll never get there. Once you shave your head, you'll keep shaving it every day. Just feels/looks too good.
It's smart.
