Chiefs play at Saints today...Surprisingly, this game is the main game in CBS' early window given that both teams are winless, have both given up 40 and 35 points in their respective first and second games and, especially in the case of the Saints, are off to disappointing starts. Many may say what a dud game, but IMO this is a big game...The winner could get back on track while the loser could be in deep doo-doo. What makes this game even more big is the fact that both teams' division leaders (Chargers and Falcons) face off in a late game on FOX. The winner, combined with a loss by their division rival later, will leave them only one game out of first place, whereas the loser, combined with a win by their division, could be in a three-game hole after only three weeks and may have to start pulling out their 2013 draft board early. Any thoughts on any NFL games today? FWIW, I'm looking forward to that Eagles-Cardinals game, I just may DVR it.
Geaux Saints!
Raiders vs Steelers used to be a good game. My boys are still a work in process, cleaning out bad salaries, implementing a zone blocking scheme (natives getting restless out here), and ushering in a "new era of excellence".
I'm putting the DVR to work today. My son has a soccer game in the AM and my daughter and I are playing golf in the afternoon.
Today wasn't good for the Bless You Boys, and not a good omen for the rest of the year. There's very little good in the year of Bountygate, but when I saw this story in the local paper--I felt that some of the heart that the team has still exists and if anyone has made a good showing of the penalties handed out by the League, this guy stands tall in my book, really tall! This is a really honorable response--an example for all of us.
