IMO... texting while driving ANY vehicle should be grounds for loss of license. On a motorcycle it's just plain stupid.
I was in Ocean City Maryland this past weekend for DelMarVa Bike week. On the way out of town on Sunday morning I passed a guy on a sport bike checking his messages on his phone. I just accelerated away from him. Of course two blocks later he went blazing by me.... dumbass. -

On my to work this morning I saw a woman texting in her jeep. And of course, as usual she blasted past me. I was going 60 in a 55 so she must have been going at least 70 another one for the Dumb Ass list!

Where the f*** is his helmet? It should be a law in every State in the US that helmets are compulsory.
Every day I ride 40 KM's to work on my bike through heavy traffic. It is astonishing, the number of drivers I see texting on their mobiles while waiting in backed up traffic. I feel like kicking in their doors to wake them up!
