I've tried the version of the products for people with allergies and the same thing.

Hi Silverking: Try using Dove Unscented Soap. I use it on occasion and it is a great performer on head shaves. Also... the Dove Unscented Soap contains moisturizers that keep your skin hydrated and smooth.

maybe you're just alergic to shaving, and shaving w/o a cream/ge will do you worse?

I was out in the bush a few months back and ran out of shave stuff...I found a small bottle of body wash in my medicine bag and used it...worked like a charm. Thanx for reminding me.

We had a discussion awhile back about using coconut oil...I found it pretty good and I liked smelling like a macaroon all day.

Shaving without gel or cream is fine feeling, what I meant to ask in this thread actually is it that bad to shave without cream.
that's what I do currently dont know if there is any long term effects since there is for sure no short term effects.

I'm no expert but I highly doubt that there are any long term effects if you do NOT use a gel or cream while shaving. If you are NOT experiencing any immediate bumps, nicks, weepers, or cuts you should be fine.

The cream is there to soften the hair and lubricate the skin. If you can shave without it and not have irritation, then there's probably no harm to it.
