A rip off of the "Bald Idols" thread, who are your Beard Idols??

For me it has to be the two Ryans:

Ryan Dunn (R.I.P)

Ryan Hurst

Two awesome chin warmers!!!

Too unruly for me. I prefer beards to be well-groomed regardless of their lengths.

I agree...I've had mine trimmed to all lengths over the years, but always groomed.

My bearded idol is Ned Kelly, an Australian folk legend and outlaw

I am always tempted to grow a beard like this... But I am pretty sure I was born a couple of hundred years too late :S

My bearded idols have to be Billy Gibbons and Dusty Hill of ZZ Top!  I always kind of had beard envy and wanted to have a beard that long along with my sly noggin.  While I am on the subject of ZZ Top, I am guessing that Gibbons and Hill may deal with Male Pattern Baldness.  I always see then with hats on.  But I bet if they shaved their heads and kept the beards, they would literally ROCK the sly look well!

They are some pretty amazing beards! I am also getting beard envy just by looking at that pic haha. If they were sly they would definitely rock the sly look  O0.

I just thought of some other beard idols of mine. Pretty much all the members of an Australian band called "The Beards", They all have awesome beards, and get to tour all around Australia singing about being bearded and doing bearded things, it can't get much better then that! haha http://www.facebook.com/TheBeardsAustralia?ref=stream

For me, Isaac Hayes wins hands down.....and this was before bald and bearded became mainstream!
Even when the d is removed, the devil is still evil.

  Isaac Hayes looks Badasss....
ZZ Top also have quite the full,  fluffy, flowing,, well combed and shampooed beards.

Yea I remember my scraggly look back in the day.
It came in at 15.... it beacame thick by 17.  Then at the same time I started to loose my hair but my beard kept growing and I was the only kid in high school who could purchase alcohol without showing an ID
Now it is showing a lot white so I just keep it short.

Thanks for the link Beardman. Gonna check out that band.

Trimmed is definitely the way to go - although there is something to be said for the guys in ZZ Top, just for uniqueness

Another entry......Jeremy Popoff from the band Lit.

Usually I'm a fan of just letting beards do what they do without having to put the time in to style them, but I've allways thought this style of goat would look great with a sly dome......

I have been known to wear that style from time to time. I am not a fan of tight braids though, I like a more loose braid.

My style of choice is this...

Next time I'd try looser braids though, but I still really love the way it turned out.
