And I'll still fall back on Monk even though the series has ended.
The wife and I love that show. Sad to see it end, but all good things must do so, no?
I've never watched Sons. Just doesn't seem that interesting to me.. but I've heard it's good.
If this topic is limited to shows that are still running today, mine are:
Breaking Bad
Burn Notice
Wilfred (U.S. version, obviously)
Modern Family
American Dad!
Peep Show (f-in hilarious! new episodes are in the works)

Much of TV has gone down the Loo in the US. Reality TV, is food for those that refuse to think, like the talking haters on opinions shows...these programs are cheap to produce and make easy money . I'd like to see more thinking persons comedy and drama and programing like on PBS.
The reality shows actually came into existence during a writers' strike. The studio heads came up with the idea because it requires minimal, if any, writing and is cheap to produce since they don't have to pay the characters as the show goes on. Since then the shows have taken on a life of their own and many have become as addictive as heroin. -

As a shift worker, it's difficult for me to follow any TV show....I do enjoy game shows, however.

I have to dl all my shows just to keep up, Australian TV is hopeless! Even though there is new shows coming out in America they still play reruns of shows that are still going...
I'd have to say my favourites are;

Yeah they did! They are up to season 4 now. Season 3 left me crying WHY!?!? As to how they left it, nothing worse then when they cap off a season with a massive cliffhanger like that. Season 4 is well under way in the US (I dl all my shows now, just so I can keep up), and it is pretty cool so far. -
