The Checkout Line...
« on: September 11, 2012, 03:48:59 AM »
I was in the 'Six Item Express' lane at the supermarket, quietly fuming.
Completely ignoring the sign, the woman ahead of me had slipped into the check-out line pushing a cart piled high with groceries. Imagine my delight when the cashier beckoned the woman to come forward, looked into the cart and asked sweetly, "So - which six items would you like to buy?"

Wouldn't it be great if that happened more often?

That's a great way to handle it. Makes the point without really being confrontational.

That is what you want to see! So many people these days don't think that signs or rules don't apply to them! almost once every day we get someone walking through our job site, past machines or other dangerous equipment are in operation  :/O , you don't normally see them until it is too late.

That cashier would have gotten my vote for employee of the month.

That's awesome!
Life has three aspects: Paradox, Humor, and Change.

Paradox: Life is a mystery; don't waste time figuring it out.
Humor: Keep a sense of humor, especially about yourself. It is a strength beyond all measure
Change: Know that nothing stays the same.

Good for that cashier! That rarely happens in the UK. I stand there quietly trying to make people's head's explode with the power of my mind whilst the check out people dont blink an eye.

I COULD say something, but Im too scared!
