Have been away to London this weekend with my partner. Before we set off I asked him if he would buzz my hair with the usual grade 2 setting. Roughly 30 seconds after he started he goes "Oh crap! the gaurd wasn't on properly! It's just come off and Ive cut a "bit" without a gaurd!"
A "Bit" was more like a big strip going down the middle of my head! I had no choice, it's all had to be buzzed off with no gaurd to make it all look even!
I know I said that I was considering going shorter, but Jeez!!!! I feel naked!
My partner LOVES it, but my parents prefer it longer. Let's see what the work people say tomorrow!

How do you feel about the hairless look ? Your partner LOVES it and that's important. The rest of everyone takes a far back seat on the bald trolly car.

Parents always prefer hair longer. Don't listen to them!

"In for a penny, in for a pound."
Might as well go all the way and finish the job with a razor.
Visually it won't look any different - but for you and any head-rubbers (e.g., your partner) it's extraordinary!
And has been said before, worst case ... it'll grow back to stubble in a few days.
Do it ...

Wow, I guess the damage is done, might as well grab the razor and go full sly now! Nothing holding you back, and you with you are liking the no guard you will love full sly!

Well, I don't "mind" it, I feel cold or boiling hot! no inbetween!
I actually think that I look a bit better with some hair, so I think Ill let it grow out a bit but keep it at a Number 1 gaurd rather than the Number 2.
A colleague this morning, looked at me and said "Have you had nits?" Years ago in UK schools, outbreaks of headlice were controlled by kids having their heads shaved, something about the nits not being able to cling on!

That's a time, frontier guy. That's a time. Agree. Just go for it since you are so close give it a 30 day try. Good way to turn an honest mistake into a success story and a new hair style.
Now is the time.

Yeah, some people do that in Australia too.
Glad to hear you don't "mind" it haha, I found it did take a bit of getting used too, that is why I always stuff a beanie in my back pocket now... well at least until spring decides it wants to appear, instead of just teasing me! But besides, a #1 is one step closer then a #2! So congrats on that... maybe you'll eventually decide you want to eventually go no guard/full sly, I guess only time will tell

Time told me!
It was not long after I buzzed to #1, that I buzzed no guard, and shaved was not far behind. When your hair is that short, hot/cold does not feel that much different when shaved bald.
The look is similar, but the smooth feel of a shaved head is something to experience. Something I want to experience each morning.
