Hey guys, I've just joined that forum. Great place for bald guys and future baldies. My name is Tim and I shaved my head completely bald for the first time in 2001. Since than I had bald phases and phases with hair. I have a receding hairline, so I am finally back to the bald look again. I think that was a very good decision and I know what I have missed over the last months. I tried different shaving methods, mostly using the headblade. I am know thinking about laser hair removal on my scalp. I like it when my head is bald without any shadow. Being bald for good would also mean that there is no fall-back to let my hair grow back.

Looking forward to exchange experiences with you guys. Tim

Welcome, Tim! Glad that you will get to enjoy the freedom from hair that us bald guys enjoy!.....As far as the laser removal...we do have a topic on this subject, and if you go that route, I wish you well. Personally, part of the fun of being bald and growing (what's left of) my hair back is the fun of experimenting with different shaving methods. Good luck, participate and post often!

Thanks for your welcome. I will definitely check that laser topic out. I am a little torn still. I also like shaving. But I never really managed to bring it to a daily routine. That's the main reason I guess why I let it grow back in the end. Laser would be permanent, which I would appreciate much. And also getting rid of the shadow as my remaining hair is quite dark. I think this forum will help me a lot to make a good decision.

glad to hear you are bald again, man. ridding yourself of hair is one of the best ways to truly be free. but just to warn you about the laser surgery, it really isnt permanent, and the hair can begin growing back within less than 2 years for some people. i have researched into the topic before because i was sick of facial hair and wanted a way to get rid of it for good, but the way laser hair removal works is not the way it actually seems, and sadly there is no way of permantly stopping hair from ever growing back unless u either get lucky with baldness, or u have plucked / waxxed the hair hard enough over time and its finally killed the hair follicle.
i really dont understand myself how laser hair treatment cant kill the hairfollicle but if you look it up you will get the full details. i just didnt think it sounded worth it at all when i did my research but maybe u will have better luck.
either way welcome and enjoy ur stay bro
i can give u one kind of weird advice though. some hairs die permantly just from plucking them once. i have a small bald spot on my hair from a time i plucked some of the hairs for a joke , and those hairs have never grown back since, and this was about 2 years ago. i also plucked some of my beard once and certain hairs i plucked have never grown back either. some did though. it seems stupid but when uve grown some of ur hair back right, try plucking a few test hairs. u may be lucky enough to kill the hair follicle that easily, at least for some of the hairs.

Welcome Tim ... for me, it's important to consider the daily shave a "pleasure" rather than a "chore." It's those few quiet minutes which are all mine. Doesn't happen a lot ...

Thanks for your comments guys. Really appreciate your open feedback. I am curious to explore all the different posts hier. If I stay with shaving or really try the laser stuff, I guess I get the best support here either way.

Glad to hear it mate! Thanks for the compliment too... I've been coping a bit of flack (I just put it down to jealously) at work about it the past couple of weeks... I can't understand why it has come up all of a sudden though... It's not like this bad boy grew over night...

Thanks Mrzed for that interesting articel. It made me contemplative. The consequences of that decision are too tremendous as if to run greenly into that topic. Seems as if there are not enough scientific findings about the longterm effects of laser hair removal. Before I have to show up with scars on my scalp I better keep my hair and shave it off. I'd be happy already if there was another solution to keep my head fully bald over a longer period, but also waxing and hair removal cream don't seem to me like a safe and satisfying solution.

For those of us who are BBC, growing hair on top is just life. If you want the bald look, you have to shave, and for most of us, that is daily. I love the bald look and feel. That means I need to love shaving my head daily. So I savour my 5-10 minutes of shaving my head smooth as can be each morning. Then enjoy the smooth head and sharp look for the rest of the day. Makes my day.
