Here's a few to try - they're an eclectic mix:
What's Eating Gilbert Grape? (Johnny Depp, Leonardo DiCaprio)
Chinatown (Jack Nicholson, Faye Dunaway - from the mid-1970's - great film noir)
Cinema Paradiso (Italian film, subtitled in English - one of my all-time favorite movies!)
Marty (late 1950's; Ernest Borgnine won an oscar for it)
Twelve Angry Men (the original with Henry Fonda, Lee J Cobb, et al)
Catch Me If You Can (Leonardo DiCaprio)
Up in the Air (George Clooney)

Inkubus sounds interesting! I like some horror movies as well. Netflix has all of the Saw movies, all of the Hostel movies, and quite a few others who's names escape me at the moment but that I thought were worth the time to watch.
The Big Lebowski is also a great movie - it is one of my favorites. Fargo and True Grit are two other Cohen Brothers' movies that are on Netflix.
Also, another one that I watched recently was good - The Elephant in the Living Room. It's a documentary about people that keep exotic pets as animals. It's not as boring as the title or subject may lead you to believe it is.
I'll be keeping an eye on this topic as watching Netflix movies is one of my favorite past times.

I saw that and added it to my queue.
You should also check out The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo series (extended editions) movies. They are the Swedish versions and subtitled but they are very good and also very true to the books.

"The General's Daughter" with John Travolta, "From Paris With Love" with John Travolta (he's bald in this

), "Lonely Hearts" with John Travolta. I list these because I just got done watching them within the past week/week and a half. Each one was great, I thought. Of course, there is tons of good movies on Netflix. I tend to not watch anything less then 4 stars on it.

Hey extol is there a way to see 4+ star films instead of scrolling through all the other films

I typed in "Top 10 Netflix movies" (in Google) and there is a ton of links. There is one that is directly from the Netflix site, though. But any of the other ones that suggest top movies you can just search the movie in Netflix and check out the description/rating yourself. I find this to be a lot quicker.

before, I would scroll and scour Netflix for films... now, I go to these sites, search the movies, add them to my queue, watch them... and usually they suggest a movie afterwards and I'll look at those too.

I agree. I thought they were true to the books.
