Hair sure grows fast when you don't want that  :)
I kind of experience the same thing, but that's because I only shave WTG. At some point I'll do WTG and ATG and maybe that will take care of the stubble for a longer time.
How are you shaving, only WTG or also ATG?

Oh, and I almost forgot, when using a new razor I get better results.

I shave against the grain, but by evening, it feels like sandpaper when I rub against the grain.  Yes, hair grows fast.

I just enjoy the smooth head in the mornings.

I have places on my head where the hair is thicker than other areas and yes even just 12 hours growth it magnified to your touch.

Hair grows at different rates.  I notice the stubble on top first, then the back, then the sides.  It's just nature.

ATG gives the smoothest shave, but if you've just started shaving, take it slow as it's likely to cause the most irritation.

Another odd thing I've noticed: if I shave after I've exercised, my scalp is smoother and remains smooth longer.  I don't know why, but it's true.

ATG is the way to go.

I started using gel lately instead of the headblade cream, doing a pass WTG and ATG i find leaves me nice and smooth and i dont feel stubble nearly as early as i used to.. just an idea.

Hair growth rate varies in different areas of the scalp. Its normal to feel rough in some areas and smooth in other areas. Don't worry about it.
