headblade, first use, loving it. it's a KEEPER
« on: August 17, 2012, 10:02:39 PM »
Hey guys. 7 AM, and I've  already shaved my head. used a HB classic this time ( HB sports it's on its way to my location )...
coudn't sleep much of the night, thinking of how will it be.
First time I touched my head with the HB was like " wow, it moves by itself". had to do nothing, it simply did the shaving for me. diffrent from any other razors I've used. I'm so glad I took that decision of buying one. looking forward for the HB sport to "arrive".
Now, I won't say I cut myself like hell ( not that bad, but it's never been worse for me ). I was expecting this, as a new guy doing this. It will pass within few days. it also was my mistake, I've had problems in that area lately, so it's not the HB.
everall, I'm loving it, looking forward for tomorrow, to shave it again. within 4 days I'll be as pro as you are, headbladers

already ordered one. On tuesday it will arrive.
Now, the back of my head looks like after a war, but within two or three days it'll be okay. I just need to be careful in that area.

Congratulations on making the move. The HB is a fantastic bit of kit - the best. You will love the sport. Take it easy on the back of your head, be very light handed and gentle, I was the same with the back. I started using the headshed exfoliant and it's really helped, also the ClearHead has made a huge difference, I've got near enough perfect head now. Glad you like the HB.

I know what you mean about HB.  I may use another a razor, too, but always include the NB in the process.

Take it easy at first. Takes a few days to get used to it, but now I've not had a cut in months.

Glad you like it. Great accessories, too.

I'm a fast learner. The tomorrow shave is going to be kind of tough, though. The back of my head is irritated, plus that half of it it's shaved against the grain, and half of it, with the grain. I'm gonna quit the wtg idea, at least till it gets better. I'm dying to see how the tomorror shave will turn out. Lookung forward to get by the first week. I can only remember how easy shaving was this morning, and how smooth my head still feels like )

If I was you I would leave it till its healed otherwise it will never get better. You will just be scraping irritated skin which isn't good and it will look messy. Take 3 days off and apply aloe vera to speed up recovery

Thanks for the advice. Not gonna follow it, though. I will shave a part of my head tonight (shaved this morning), the part where I kind of missed on the previous shave, and then I will fully shave it oin the morning, as regular. Indeed, i'll be way more careful on the back of my head, but the hb is so 'easy' so it'll be easy to do. I can estimate i'll be okay within 3 days.
btw, I will miss a shave for nothing in the world

Hey Paul, great choice with the HB! Take the advice given, go slow, long smooth strokes, no pressure is needed. Shave with the grain until you get the feel for how it works. It will only get better.  O0

thanks for the advice, xnewyawka
I am about top go and shave within 5 mins. I will take care of all the advices you all gave to me ( which I thank you all for ), and I will also have in mind the youtube videos I've  watched. I will come up with an edit later on today, and I'll tell you how it worked.
EDIT:
shaved it off. went all pefect. no nicks ( except a tiny one on my left ear, tried to do it all since the day two... ), no cuts at all, and, the post important, no irritation! it went unexpectably good, a perfect shave, and it's for the second time I use the HB.
it's true that I used my old straight razor to shave behind the ears, but I'll be getting the hang of it soon, so I'll be able to use the HB in that area too.
gonna change my nickname to "Headblader" on tuesday, when I'll achieve the HB sport.
