Hi,
So I am about to order headblade sport kit:
http://www.slybaldguys.com/smf/index.php?topic=17831.msg277441#msg277441It isn't a loss to try it for me as my gillette fusion alone costs the same amount.. However delivery takes 2-3 weeks. (From experience when ordering other stuff from US) So I would like to know if I should grab a few extra products that you can recommend and that would be necessary.

If it were me, I would certainly order an 8oz bottle (or 2) of HeadSlick which I think is essential.

I just ordered off there website and I got 2 8oz bottles of headslick as its cheaper on there, some headlube glossy for that nice shine and some headshed, vital before a shave to get maximum protection and smoothness during shaving. Also treated myself to one of there t shirts and there HeadBlade holder!

You might aswell fill your boots as shipping is expensive outside the US do get as much as possible so you don't have to keep buying from them and paying the shipping! Only a thought

I have finally decided on what I will buy. Shipping is close to 100$ :/ I noticed that it increases with more products so I think I will be fine with these.
We are going for a bicycle trip for a month (most likely more) and won't be able to get anything more for at least 3 months. This is quite an important purchase for us and we don't want to make a mistake by taking too much of something or not enough..
1x Starter Kit Platinum (With Glossy)
1x Refill Kit Silver (With Glossy)
1x HeadShade Sunscreen
1x TravelShell
1x HeadLube Lotion Matte Sample 3-pack
1x Sensor-type Adaptor 3-Pack
and friend will order
1x Starter Kit Platinum (With Glossy)
1x HeadShade Sunscreen
1x TravelShell
1x Adaptor 3-Pack
I have a few questions before I order:
1. How long does one 8 oz bottle last on every day use? (HeadShed, HeadWash, HeadSlick, HeadLube)
2. how long can it stand unused before it goes bad? (HeadShed, HeadWash, HeadSlick, HeadLube) As I will have 2 of each and wouldn't want them to go bad while I finish my first bottle of each.
3. Anyone using pump on there bottles? Is it easier with it?
4. Any more suggestion for this order? I am thinking maybe I need more blades...

The headslick is good for over 100 shaves if you use it as directed. I've found this to be true.
I've never had any go bad, but I've only been shaving since January 2012.
I DO like the pumpers. They work well. Don't have them on every product, but on the ones I use the most.
I go through one blade per week, so you can estimate the need from there. I'm BBC, so I use more blade than a naturally bald guy would, who is only trimming the horseshoe.

The HB mugs are GREAT. Raise the opportunity to same something about headshaving at work. I have four of them.
Good conversation starters.

Thank you for your input.
If they go for 100 uses then maybe I don't need to take a refill kit..
In case I do I wan't to know if they don't expire after half a year or so..
Not interested in mugs right now as I have great expenses with this trip. just want to get what I need or will definitely need after I run out of any of stuff I ordered.

Like Mr Z wrote, the 8 Ounce bottle will last a long time. A little goes a long way. I've been using my current bottle for 93 days and I have about half of the bottle remaining. I use the pump on it (one squirt is all I need). The amount looks about the size of a small pea.
I would not worry about the products expiring. Hope not - the HeadSlick was on sale at Walgreen's last week and I purchased a generous supply. :-)
I really like the pump attachment which is available from HeadBlade - but I wouldn't take it travelling.
I know you'll have a great adventure. I'll be watching for some posts after you return giving us details - of the travel and your continuing Slydom.

Overseas shipping is terribly expensive at Headblade.com
This is one thing they have to sort out. It is the same for the local distributors who apparently make a huge profit.
Due to the weak USD compared to the Euro it still makes sense to buy off their website, with the 20% discount coupon, but especially creams and gels add up.
If I were you I would buy one or two Sport razors and the Headshed. The rest you can get cheaper locally. (I say Headshed cause it's the product I like the most)

Each of us will have the same items 1 starter kit each etc... I planned so this would last around 3 months before we need to make another order and by reading your suggestions I think I have choose the right items.
I only hope that sunscreen that comes with that new HeadLube will last for 1 month when we are on the road.
Our orders:
- 2x Starter Kit Platinum (With Glossy)
- 2x TravelShell
- 6x HeadBlade Pump
- 2x Sensor-type Adaptor 3-Pack
- 2x HeadLube SPF 30 5 oz. w/ free SPF 15
- 2x HeadLube Lotion Matte - 2 oz. (to try out matte)
- 4x HB TripleBlade Kit
Costs in the end:
$298.16 for everything minus
$59.63 (20% discount).
$105.20 shipping.
Total of
$343.73 not counting border fees...
