Shave Head With Baby Oil

I Read A Forum On Here About Someone Who Shaved Their Head With Baby Oil. So I Decided To Give It A Try. I Mixed It Up With Headblade Shaving Cream

Results:

I Didn't Feel Any Irritiation On My Head At All.

My Head Was Silky & Smooth.

No Razor Burn On My Head.

Shaved Against The Grain WAY More Comfortable.

My Razor Blade Was Gunked Up, But It Was Worth It.

Shaving Your Head Really Worked A Charm. At Least In My Case

I am not terribly fond of the scent or the texture of baby oil, although I have read that a few men have successfully used baby oil.  However, lately I find that using “Nuage” shaving oil before applying my shaving soap gives me an exceptionally smooth shave with my Headblade.  I actually love good shaving oil, but the particular one I have my eye on is so expensive, so I have settled on “Nuage”, which is relatively suited to my shaving budget.

Any light oil can be used. I've used Tea Tree oil, Jojoba, Glycerine...rub it on a washed wet head then brush on the soap and you can get a good shave. There is a good product on the US market, "Shave Secret" (3U$D) that's a mix of fragrant oils and 2 or 3 drops will give you a good shave. And as we say 'round here; Your head will be as slick as deer guts on a door knob.

Ever since I started using Shave Secret, I hardly use baby oil....it's a nice fallback if I run out of Shave Secret, however.

I Have Yet To Shave My Neck With This Procedure. I Might Give It A Shot On My Next Shave. I Normally Used Trimmers On My Neck. But Overall,I'm Pleased With The Results I Got.

Today I scrubbed with soap 'n' hot water rubbed on some coconut oil, lathered up and did the deed...it was a very good shave, very close with no irritation and I smelled like a macaroon.

I have used coconut oil the one that's for the hair and scalp works good after the shave and also baby oil helps out with the shine after the shave I have not upgraded to pre shave oil yet

Art of Shaving makes an excellent pre shave oil.  You have to make sure that the oil you use is very water soluble and will not clog your pores.  Baby oil will clog your pores and lead to pimples.  The pre shave gel from A of S will also rinse out of your blade very easily.  Good luck.

I too find that using an oil makes a difference. I used baby oil, but it leaves a too oily skin for me. I have also used others like Jojoba, the one I like the most though is virgin olive oil, the one from the kitchen.
I have used KOS and Shave Secret too, can't say results were better than with any other oil, and the difference in price is huge

I usually do a pre/post (with eucalyptus and menthol) and a good shave cream (Trumpers Rose is highly recommended). I might do shave secret if I have overly dry skin up top.This has worked well for me for years.

I tried baby oil for the first time last night. Great results but it clogged up my razor. Of course, I hadn't shaved for two days so that was probably part of the problem. I figure I'll try it again tonight and see what happens. If the razor clogs up again I may stop using the oil.

I've used Shave Secret Oil in the past but switched to Baby Oil. I get great results with it and it's much cheaper. I dont have any problems with it clogging my razor. I apply it first then a Shave Gel I get for $1 at Dollar Tree. Dollar General's 5 Blade Razor is excellent too and replacement blades for it are only $1.75. 👍 I'm a former Fusion and Hydro 5 user. 😄😄
