I finally made the plunge about a week ago and am really enjoying the new dome.  I have found some valuable information around this site and thank you all for that.

I am using the headblade sport with headslick to shave.  Before shaving I am using a neutrogena exfoliating wash, and afterwards I am using the cold wash and ice trick and rubbing in some of the gilette aftershave gel.  There is some irritation on the back of the head and I am using bumpstopper twice a day on it, and it seems to be helping.  Can anybody make any suggestions on top of this?

Welcome. It's a very natural look for you, and you look quite comfortable with it.

I think you've got the routine well under control.

I hope you will stick around and participate regularly. Great information here, and it's great to have recent converts here to encourage the "on the edge" crowd.

Welcome, Mauler! The head and goat look great! Bump Stopper is good for the back of your head, and if you are looking for some alternatives to aftershave, witch hazel (found at most drugstores) and the rub of an ice cube are two of my favorites to prevent irritation and/or bumps. The bald look is a keeper.
There are people that don't shave daily but once every two days because of the irritation.
Maybe you should do it once every two days and after some time you'll be able to get back to daily shaving.
