No, it’s not your imagination. This site was considerably more active when I first shaved my head a little less than 4 years ago.

The r/bald subreddit has grown in popularity, I’m active there too.

I tried once when on vacation in the Bahama's.  They were ladies set-up on the beach doing braids for the ladies, so I said why not?  They are not that easy to see due to the color of my shirt.

Nice Slybeard. I think i may let my chin hair on my goatee grow long enough to to do that. I did some research and it sounds like you need about 4 inches of length at minimum. I got some growing to do!

I think what happened was that a lot of the membership joined the Facebook group. At first it was kind of fun, but things got a little out of hand for some of the members. I am guilty and I will start contributing more in the future.

When my beard is longer I braid it often.

Beard is roughly 9".  I'm thinking of maintaining it at 10" in length.

A lot of people might not be able to log in.  I forgot my password and the password recovery system doesn't work.  I'm only in due to dumb luck by guessing what it was and setting it to leave myself logged in.  At some point it will lock me out and I won't be able to get back in.

I'm looking for some advice. This is the longest (length) I've had my beard over the past 18-ish months. This is the point where I usually get bugged by all the little flyaways and hairs that won't stay down and reach for the trimmer.

Any tips or tricks on how to tame the mane?

Apply a little beard butter which should help condition and tame it a little.  It looks great!
