Well I have to say I was a bit of a twat! I, in a complete moment of madness shaved my beard off. 5 months of growth gone in minutes. I instantly regretted it and have been growing it since.
You'd think some of these veteran beard growers would warn noobs about this. Oh, wait a minute...
I know you've mentioned that a lot of people you interact with believe your face is their property and have told you to shave, so once you shaved did you get the impression from any of them that they felt like they won? That is the part that would bug me the most: knowing that those other people believe that they won.
The beard today. Let's see how long I can keep growing it, although I like this length. Getting quite a bit of compliments on the beard and on the greys actually.
Very nice, Doc. I think the length suits your face quite excellently.
That is a nice length, Doc!
I like the extra length, Doc. I've been forced to grow mine out a little lately. I usually go to the barber for a trim every two weeks. I can only go on Saturdays and last Saturday it totally slipped my mind -- first time that has ever happened. Today was a very busy day so there was no opportunity to go, so it will have to wait until next week, which will be four weeks without a trim -- an eternity for me.
Dude, you are slipping!
I know, right?
If I just stop trimming now for the rest of the year, I could have a nice Santa beard for Christmas.
I vary between these two lengths, sometimes when its longer its harder to keep a neat look...
Thanks all for the kind words, appreciate it!
Razor, I try to trim every couple of weeks as well, but only to trim off the stray hairs that stick out. The rest I leave alone.
I've been tempted to shave off the mustache, but above my lip. I'd keep the sides that connect to the beard. Thinking about doing something different, but just not sure how that would look. Thoughts? Opinions?
Clay, beard looks good either length.
