No, it did not stop beardbald.  It just becomes increasingly difficult to notice the growth the longer it gets.  When you go from a one week beard to a two week beard, the length doubles and it is obvious.  When you go from a 8 week beard to a 9 week beard, the eye cannot see the difference.

Here is mine.  I trimmed the cheek-line this morning.  Am looking a bit shaggy as I want to thicken up the beard and drop the neck-line a bit.  My busy season at work goes another month so I will let it grow until then before cleaning it up.
