Agreed. This is about as far as far as I'm going to take mine ...

Looks FANTASTIC, my good man!! I'm very impressed (not that you need my approval - lol)! Hope that trim is super light.

Been quite some time since I've posted, myself. Thought I'd share my own progress. Hope everyone has been doing well. I see some great beards on here!

DAWG!  Welcome back.

Misanthropic Humanist, indeed.  Is that supposed to be ironic?

Hullo, Red! Yes it is, but it's pretty much also true about me. I'm unnecessarily complex and hypocritical like that.  :/O

Feeling inspired by the mighty beardage! It's a sunny day in Oregon and I'm having a good beard day. Going for the Billy Gibbons look (eventually)  O:O

It has been awhile since  I read this thread!  But I am being seriously inspired to get my beard even longer than I had mine before.  But I do have to ask Vash this question....Did you happen to attend the World Beard and Mustache Competition in Portland this past weekend?  I actually was there and had a blast!

I don't get this.  November is the month where things get a little beardy and men dare to challenge the matriarchy by dabbling with the start of a beard,  yet where I work beards are being killed left and right right now.  A lot of them are the stupid reasons men give for caving because they don't really want it to begin with, one guy blameda  trimming accident,  but most others shaved to participate in No Shave November.   That seems so unbelievably pointless!  Why shave a perfectly good beard to celebrate beards?   If this month is to give men on a short leash some confidence in choosing to be themselves shouldn't a  bearded guy use this asa  chance to grow longer than they normally would?   Why backtrack?  Even witha  full month hair only grows about a half incha  month!

I don't understand why people do this either :(

They may not have shaved for "No Shave November".  They may have shaved for "Mo-Vember" in which everyone is supposed to start off the month clean shaven and grow a mustache "Mo" all month long to bring awareness to Men's health issues.

I've never seen anyone treat November as a month to grow a mustache alone.  It's just strange how this is  amateur beard month and I see more beards being killed than started.

My winter beard.  This is the longest I've managed to keep a beard.  In the past I've gotten frustrated or made a trimming mistake which led to me shaving it all off.  Thanks to you guys, I have avoided my typical errors and have heeded your advice:

I have resisted the urge to trim it.

I have ignored a recent mistake shaving my cheeks - one side was much lower than the other; I left it alone and it evened itself out.

I have ignored my wife's negative comments and it seems like she has come around!
