Went back to the goatee. Still trying decide if I want to buzz my hair back down or not.

Looks good?  What was the deciding factor?

Great goatee !

As for the hair, why not shave/buzz it and find out ! You can always grow it back.

Razor the deciding factor was habit I think. I have never kept a beard all year. I always go back to the goatee after hunting season. I let my hair grow out for hunting also. I know that is not going to be a option for many more years though. I still think it looks fine dry but greasy or wet is another story. I will probably end up buzzing it back down before spring. I'm starting to not care as much but I just seem more confident with it grown out.

Neither have I.  I fully understand the desire to revert back to what is familiar.

I've never kept a beard very long either. I've bookmarked some beard shampoo & conditioners. Keeping it clean and properly managed seems to be the key to keeping it from itching.

Anyone know what happened to Beardman?  Often when someone disappears like that it is because something tragic has happened like maybe he had a moment of weakness and cut off his beard.

As for mine I finally trimmed.  Before I trimmed I measured the longest hairs and found that I had hit the 2' mark, and then after the trim the longest hairs were about 15".  That sounds drastic but it was probably only about 5% of the mass of the goatee because the bottom was so wispy.

After the trim:

A beard club opened up near me and I'm planning to get active with it.  I went to their first event the weekend after Thanksgiving and made it to most of their second event.

Rusty. Your beard rocks. I don't think I have the ability to get it that long but dammit I'm gonna try!

Thanks Rusty. That's a pretty impressive beard you have going. How do you hide the length like in the last pic?

Wow, Rusty! Nice variation of styles for the beard! I like the rolled up one the best, but all of the styles in the pictures look good!
