you are doing a great job of keeping it well groomed.
Baldjoeg,
Grooming is key to a good looking beard, isn't it ? Comb mine several times a day.
And (don't tell anyone), I shampoo and condition it, too. Goes all soft afterwards.

I've decided 2014 is the year if no shave for me. I grew a beard last year & always thought my wife didn't like it. SHE suggested I do it again. I don't have to be asked twice. (I want it BIG but I know she likes it trimmed. Too bad. She opened this can of worms...)
And Mr Jules, the moment I can't see skin through the beard, out comes the shampoo, conditioner & even a treatment; whatever I can steal from the wife without her knowing.

I do something similarly sneaky !

Got bored and tried brushing my mustache into a handlebar. Excuse the weird expression. I was preparing to work an overnight shift after an arduous day shift and little rest in between.

Well duck season is over and I'm trying to decide if I should keep the beard or not. I normally go back to a goatee but I'm going back and forth on this one.
Last mornings hunt. I'm the tall one on the right.

Country, that's a pretty impressive beard....If I had that kind of coverage I'd keep it....BTW, that's a nice collection of ducks for you and your crew...But in the end, if you go with the goatee, I'm sure it would look good, also.

Imaginary, your beard looks great with the longer lenght. What are your plans from here?
Country, I would vote for you to keep the full beard.
I guess you guys already know I am partial to full beards.
As I approach one year for my beard in Februray 2014, I need some help in deciding what to do next. My thoughts are to take the beard down to the 2 to 3 inch level, leave the handlebar intact except to trim the tips to make them even and more manageable. The tips are really too long and thin to style into a handlebar without a lot of effort. I think my beard looked better at the shorter length and it also is looking quite thin and stringy at the ends. Any feedback appreciated.

Slybeard, I remember you having a nice beard, however, is there a way you could post a pic of how it looks now? It doesn't necessarily have to be a full head shot, but we can offer better opinions. In the end, if you want to go shorter, go for it!

Slybeard, I have no plans yet. I wanted to experiment with length, but not go too crazy. Curiously, I have received compliments for the length in church. I guess not everyone knows how to dress a bald/beard combo with a suit well.

Had trouble posting photos earlier today. First is my current photo (sorry about the stare), and the others are close to what I may trim down to:
