Thanks, Slyest. I know you are correct about this sort of being the max for me. In fact, I'm pretty certain I will prefer this if I trim it close to my face. I'm not one for wild beards. That being said, it has been fun being "unkempt" and I will have a little more fun with this before I clean up!
I can see why you are obsessed with the ISS. I don't know why I haven't paid more attention to it!

Mike the beard looks good. When my wife grips about my beard I borrow a line from Phil Robertson. "There are two kinds of people without beards women and children, I am neither."

Let it get a little wild. Then when you tidy it up your wife will appreciate the improvement.

Thanks everyone for the comments. I appreciate all. What I probably need too is patience!

Thanks, guys....Mr. Zed, I was a security guard at one time; however beards were not permitted with this company (Goatees, for whatever reason, were OK).

Nice job, Sir Harry. And as Mr Zed said, it does make you look like a tough guy. It is a good look on you.
Mike EP, I understand where you are on this. I have never done what I am doing now with my beard, but I have always wanted to try it. For most of my life, I have liked trimmed beards, although somewhat longer the the typical stubble beard. Maybe about 1 inch or so, enough to give it fullness and still look neat and trimmed.
I don't know how much longer my experiment will last. I want to be able to say "been there, done that" and not "I wonder what it would have looked like."

That's pretty much how I feel, too, Slybeard. I always admire other guys' beards and I just want to see if I can get to a point where I like it on myself. I may decide that the full beard is not for me, but I want to give it more of a chance.

Razor, the beard is looking great. I like the way it is blended in with your van dyke. The van dyke has always looked great on you. I like the 2 tone color.
Mr. Jules.the goatee looks great.
Awesome beard Rusty.

Razor X's fine beard coverage is giving me 'beard envy'. So I am expecting that length off the chin will be a reasonable substitute. Like a kind of 'spade' hanging off the face.
