Thanks for the comments, Saintc. I understand the legal part of it, it's just one of those unwritten rules. I would never be let go for facial hair.
BTW - I have to admit the color is not natural, it's almost completely gray. The density really did not come in until my mid 40's. In my 20's all I could pull off was a mustache, by 30 I could grow a decent goatee, but still had bare cheeks, and I had a gap between my sideburns and hair line. Now that I am 51, I have hair growing almost everywhere, but getting thinner on top. So for you younger guys out there without good coverage, don't give up on a beard. It may take years to thicken up and fill in those bare spots.
Great beard, Slybeard!
Now we need to see a pic of it with the bald head showing.
Not the best photo, but here it is
You're photo gets the point across, You have a rockin sly dome and beard, that's all that matters
<---------- The current beard on day 10.
Nothing close to the ones in this thread but at least it's a start!
It looks quite good for just 10 days.
Y'all have some nice heads and nice beards. I have a decent beard. I'm 34 so maybe I have a little time left to like down a Greek god-like beard. Ya'll have some nice heads too. Something I'm afraid I won't have. The sly future is uncertain for me, but I'll always rock a beard. It was actually a factor I considered when getting out of the Army. The fact that I could grow a beard made it into the plus column.
Thanks, Mr. Jules. I want to get more length on the chin.... I just keep scissor-trimming, so it stays about the same. Your beard is a nice length. The avatar pic was from two weeks ago, so it is a little more grown out than that now.
Impressed that you scissor trim your beard. Don't have the courage.
So I went to the barbers the other day. It's the usual one who knows knows how to trim the beard. Pleased with the results.
Today is my sister's (well actually first cousin, but since her parents essentially raised me due to my wayward parents we treat each other as brother and sister) wedding. So, to avoid attracting attention to myself and away from the bride and the groom I shaved it down to this shown below this morning. I actually had a nice beard going, but I like this better for the moment.
at least it's a start!
That's really great--there are a whole lot of guys who never end up at the finish with a start like that! It's going to be a keeper.
Thanks!...hoping to make it 30 days without touching it and taking it from there maybe have my barber edge cheek and neck lines.

Hope you gonna make it !!
Here is my updated beard status! I am thinking that I may let it go longer than the 6 month length that I am currently at!
