Several colleagues in the office has suggested I shave my beard for charity.
Not sure if I can go through with it. It'll takes several months to grow it back.

There is a possibility I may have to shave mine......My former stepdaughter wants me to escort her at the high school military ball (I'm considering it but haven't committed yet for obvious reasons) and if I wear my dress blues, a beard would be a no-no. If it comes to it, the ball is in April, but I can have it decently grown back by August. This may not necessarily be a bad thing, I can actually start over and get some better width than I have now.

What charity has a shave your beard promotion? Is this something the UK came up with? If this is just their idea, a "one fer" tell them you'll do it if they all shave their heads, men & women.
It's big and it's this
http://www.rednoseday.com/Like your idea - I'll shave my beard if the rest of the office shave their heads.
Or ...
I'll shave my head on Red Nose Day for charity.

I wish I had never shaven my beard off. As stated it takes for ever to grow back. So sure would really think about it .

I found it really simple to shave my head but I don't think I could shave my beard. As many have said it takes too long to grow back.

Mr. Jules,
The website says "Do something funny on the 15th for Red Nose Day"...... just tell them you don't think shaving your beard would be very funny... why don't they shave off their eyebrows...now that would be funny, and they could all join in. (just take a sick day that day... and you can laugh at them on the 16th)!

The guys at church did a beard growing contest from the first weekend in december until valentines day. I opted out. No way will i shave my beard. Wife agreed.
The 'contest' is over now. Many shaved off their beards and grew new ones. Others for the first time. Some have shaved off again at wife request. Some remain.
I keep mine trimmed at 1/2 inch.

One of the things about shaving your beard off is that it seems to grow back differently each time... Like, you won't get the same exact beard you did before. Could be my imagination, but my experience tells me it's the case. I've had some great ones go down in history.

Natedawg, I thought I was the only one who noticed that (like I noticed curling this time around.) Sadly, I shaved off the beard to a circle one shortly after posting that picture. Already regretting it. The funny thing is that my best friend is planning to go the same route too.
