Thank you for concerns, guys.
Judge for yourselves...
Couple weeks and it will have grown through again.
A bit short but nothing catastrophic.

Razor X and Zetaeffe,

It will grow back...

Razor, looking good!....Mr. Jules, I can sympathize....after more than two decades in the Army and/or National Guard, I went through my mourning periods when I had to shave my beard....Now that my military career is essentially over, I can sport a beard at my leisure....Hang in there, Mr. Jules it'll be back before you know it!

Did you tell the barber how much you wanted taken off?

Yes, number 3 guard. What my regular barber does is to use the comb and buzzer/scissors combo to keep the length of the chin.
Next time, I'l insist on scissors to keep the length on the chin.

Those with my first thoughts as I stepped out of the barbers.

Beard on the chin was about between 2-3 finger widths (if that makes sense).

Mr. Jules... I still looks great, just shorter. I know it is a setback for you, and that sucks, but at least it isn't botched up. How long do you think it will take to come back?
Razor, yours is looking good. I think the van-dyke looked good, but this beard will look great. (my opinion)

Thanks Slymyke,
Couple of weeks and it will be back ! In fact, I may not have my beard trimmed again in 2012.

Probably not if you want to get back to the previous length.

A beard is for life, not just for Christmas. Only 5 weeks to go.

This morning, went to the barbers. Difference person in there. And he's butchered my beard.
But, keep your furry chin up, they can't stop it from growing back nice. I have only had mine trimmed by a barber once--not great job, not a butcher job either, thank goodness. But if I ever do that again I want the barber to have a beard, a real one that I think looks good. Otherwise, barefaced barbers could harbor some bad feelings for the bearded and they may not be aware of it.
I wonder if that is one of the reasons I have not been to the barber since 2010. I've even dreamt of them doing some kind of crazy botched up job involving pencil mustaches and who knows what with the balance. Although at the time I went to the barber (I had a buzz cut with a chin strap beard,) I made it a point that I am a rocker and not into what most Hispanics are into these days. Even with that, I've felt culture clashes.
