The shadow will be minimized soon as you shave against the grain. Be extra careful since it will be your first. Enjoy.

I went for it around the same time that you did.  I have given myself sun exposure along with using headlube, and my shadow seems to be fading a tad.  I know it wont go away totally, but it lightened up along with my scalp getting closer to the color of the rest of my face.

lordpeich, That bald video looks very nice. Even a consistent shine on your head.  Have you been sticking with daily shaving of your head? You've had time to complete the 30 day challenge. Did you do it? Are you still bald today?  How do you like it? Keeper?

Hi again, by the moment, al least during cold months, I prefer to sport a clippershave; but when the weather it will be warmer again I will give another chance to the really sly look.
