How to Get a 2-3 day Shadow
« on: July 27, 2012, 02:43:14 PM »
Been shaving my head for a while now, and I've noticed I like the look better after I've let it grow for a couple days. Problem is, it's a hassle to shave with the blade after that. Are there any products out there that will let you keep just a thin layer, maybe a little shorter than this: http://media.photobucket.com/image/recent/scairns5/Shane%2520Battier/001228387.jpg

Thanks in advance.

Welcome sliccat,

Wouldn't that just be the same as using electric clippers and anywhere from "no guard" to a #1?

Lol Shane Battier!

Well, I believe FrontierGuy is right, shaving with no guard will give you that effect... but more noticeably if you have darker hair. I for one have light colored hair, doesn't show up that well, this is what I am basing my assumption off of. :)

I kept my hair like that for decades (really, before going sly) with a pair of clippers (no guard). Give it a try!

The only way to achieve that look is to use a buzzer with no guard and have the setting on 0.

I don't know of any other way...

Noticed there are some clippers that have more 0s:
00000 - 1/125"
0000 - 1/100"
000 - 1/50"
Maybe you need one of those clippers.
I'm aware of Oster and Andis. Sure there must be other brands to be added to the list.
I never used any of these two clippers, but might give you a shorter buzz then the regular 0.
