Headblade sport.. I'm not satisfied
« on: July 27, 2012, 12:38:13 PM »
Very disappointed.
Let's try with another blade (sensor excel) and see what happens.

+1.

I'm wondering if the change of blades will be the saving grace. I fell out of love with my HB while using their triples. I felt like the main course at a blood feast.
Try to remember that "speed kills" with this razor. Keep us posted on the Sensors.

I use the Gilette CustomPlus3 with the black adapter. No issues, but I know every scalp is unique :-)

Thank you.
Lot of hair.
Don't know how to deal with this.
I think a proper blade is required.
Infact I think it is necessary.

I actually just got a HB a couple weeks ago and although it gives a good shave I've sliced myself a couple of times. With my Fusoin I haven't had that problem.

Looking back I likely was going a little too fast with the HB but I can go that speed with the Fusion easily. I haven't totally given up on the HB but when I use it I'm trying to be real careful and patient.

I've given up on HB a few times but I always seem to come back to it. I've talked to a few of the folks at HB and they are pretty good people. Since I was in the testing groups for the new blades I was given the new model that comes out next year, and I must say it's a game changer.
Anyhow keep an eye out for the new blades (4 & 6 blade cartridges), they should be out by September. The new blades are pretty great but the new adaptor makes it so that you don't cut yourself anymore.

I'm a long time HB user and I love mine...... HOWEVER.... you WILL get the worst cuts of your life if you are careless or use it incorrectly.
I think going to fast diminishes the quality of the shave.
The world's worst cuts occur when PRESSURE is placed on the HB itself (which then transfers that pressure to the blade). If you are a new user do NOT press down on the HB. We all preess down with our cartridge type razors but the HB is a different beast.

Once you perfect using the HB, you WILL be able to apply a small amount of pressure but there is definetly a trick to doing it properly.
I very rarely cut myself with my HB.
