Upper Lip Line - Help
« on: July 17, 2012, 03:38:29 PM »
Lately, I've noticed I have a thin reddish/brown line on my upper lip. Since I'm a guy, I find this really annoying. I do have chapped lips often, but the line is still there when my lips aren't chapped. Think of it as a thin chocolate milk mustache on my upper lip. Has anyone ever had the same issue? I'm looking to diminish the lip line if possible...it makes me look like I've got lip liner on or something! I've googled and haven't really come up with a solution.

No biggie. It's just your inner John Waters making an appearance.

I kid, brother. That honestly doesn't sound like anything I, or anyone I know, have/has experienced. If it is getting increasingly noticeable and troubles you, perhaps a visit to a dermatologist would be in order?

I suggest seeing a dermatologist and asking for Lustra Bleaching Cream....it worked for me when I had a black mark from severe razor bumps on the back of my head after they had healed....it took about six months with regular once a day use, but the mark is hardly noticeable. Good Luck!

I have not heard of this condition before JasonR, I agree that the best advise is to see a dermatologist, and please, when you do, give us an update so we will know what to do if ever we encounter a similar condition.

By the way, Natedawg, who is John Waters?

I guess I'll have to find a dermatologist!

It's not a HUGE deal....just a minor annoyance. I have insurance...so might as well check it out.

Never heard of that condition Jason.  Hopefully the Dermo can sort it out for you...Please tell us the outcome...

By the way, Natedawg, who is John Waters?

He's an entertainer/filmmaker. He wears a very thin mustache right over his upper lip, so when Jason described his condition, it immediately made me think of JW. That's the only association, of course.  :P
