Another BBS! I threw a Shark in my Tech and they pair up awesomely. The Maggard soap smells GREAT! The best Lime scent I've come across in my short time as a DE shaver. Of course their Lime pre-shave perfectly complements it. Very rich lather. I still have a few samples to work thru but I'm pretty sure this will be the new addition to my soap rotation.
@WWM: Very nice SOTD pic and thanks for sharing. I'm glad that you are enjoying your DE and SE journey. I know I am.

This was my first shave with the EJ DE89L. Previously, was using a Merkur 34C. I find the EJ to be a bit more aggressive, which I quite liked, though got my first nicks since starting to DE today. Will have to take it a tad easier tomorrow.

For any one who has not tried a Semogue brush, they are probably the best bang for your buck brush on the planet. They are made by a family in Portugal. They are well loved in the traditional wet shaving community. You cannot beat the price and all my Semogue brushes are lathering machines.

I think the M3 is a tad bit aggressive for me. I got a super close BBS, but also got a couple of nice weepers! Had to whip out the styptic for the first time in almost 2 weeks. I'll work on my technique some more before i try it again. Love the scent on the Musso. Lathered well but seemed to dry quickly. I used about the same amount of water as I usually do so it might require a bit more. I love the smell of the MWC Bay Rum. It totally brings back memories of sitting in the barber shop as a kid. I haven't really tried any other Bay Rums yet so YMMV. Topped it off with the Nivea. That balm is my goto finisher. Not greasy, absorbs quickly. Leaves the dome feeling soft and rub worthy

Hmmm. Not my best shave. Think I am still recovering from the weekend or something. Also I think I may have had a touch of sunburn. Maybe... Anyway, another thumbs up for the Maggard pre-shave oil. The GFT Almond is my favorite scent so far in soaps! It didn't seem to last thru the shave but when I was lathering it had the whole bathroom smelling like almond! Creamy and luxurious lather. This was the second shave on the Shark SS blade. Maybe it's because it's right after using the more aggressive M3, but it seemed noticeably less sharp. I had a lot of touch up after my standard 2 passes. Still doesn't feel totally BBS. Oh well, tomorrows another shave, right? +100 points if you can name the guy holding the razor
Shave of the day.
@K5: I like your SOTD pic. You got a great legendary razor in the Fatboy.

For anyone who is on the fence on trying out a slant razor, I say go for it. It is such an efficient razor that rewards you with great shaves. However, before you try one out, I encourage you to be proficient with a regular DE razor. Slant razors are meant for the experience DE shaver. Our very own "Blubriz" is a fan of slant razors, too.

Achieved a DFS. Was a bit rushed this morning so I didn't chase a BBS. Still very close and smooth. The Dr. Harris lathers very rich. I think the scent is too subtle though. Overall a decent shave. A couple of small weepers due to me rushing.

Great shave today! I'm really getting to like the M3 despite its aggressiveness. I'm getting a really close shave with it. Only 1 tiny weeper on the back of my head. And, I don't know what I was doing before I started this "sample quest", but apparently it wasn't creating lather. The Proraso is incredible! I can already say that I am ordering some of the Green lol I thinkk I need some Pinaud too. Hmm, we will see...
