@Bluebriz: Brian. . . as a big fan of Semogue brushes; you have a nice Semogue 1305, my friend.

Thanks Mel.
I never paid much attention to the make or model of the brush as you know 😉

You welcome, Brian. Kindly keep us posted in your walk to straight razors.

SOTD:
Razor - Henkotsu kamisori (Japanese straight). I went through the honing progression of bevel setting on a 1K, 3K, 8K, 12K, then a few laps on Crox.
Soap - Tabac. I can't get enough of it lately.
Brush- omega cheapo boar. Even looks cheap but works great
Afters was chilled witch hazel and Osage Rub with 444 balm.
This is the most effort I've put into honing up a razor myself. It felt very different to the machine sharpened Kai or Feather blades, but for the first time I actually feel like honing isn't beyond me. Have a great weekend SBGers!
(For some reason pics won't upload... But I'll keep trying!)
Sotd yesterday.
Gillette new / tech handle
Schick injector cleanup - perfect for getting those hard places.
Tabac
B&B essentials
@Bluebriz and @BMiLcs: Nice pics and thanks for sharing.

This is my 1st time using MWF. It is a shave soap from England. Glad I tried it because it produced great lather and the scent was clean & crisp.

@Warhawk Been a whole since we've seen the CC Mel!
MWF is probably my favourite soap ever, but I didn't let mine dry out properly and it went moldy! Wonderful soap though, didn't ever need moisturiser after using it!
Another day, another razor change!
Today I went with a Gem Micromatic OC (open Comb) with a Gem blade.
I hadn't used this for a long, long time, which probably explains the 3 or 4 tiny cuts I gave myself.
Soap was Tabac and I used the Semogue 1305 again.
Dessert was alum block, which was then rinsed off and followed with 444 balm and Lucido AS.
Lovely.
The SEs are such a pleasure to use and the OCMM is just a beautiful piece!
Hey Brian: have you ever seen this type if straight before? Can't find any info on it Buenos Aires Helvestrand 7/8
That's the weekends score
More raZor pics
Sorry Bmilcs, but my knowledge of real straights is almost non-existent so far! Maybe someone else here can help, or check out badgerandblade.com which is full of lots of good guys who can undoubtedly tell you more. The straight razor forum there will be a great help I'm sure!
@BMiLcs: Hi Bryan... nice pics of your latest score.
