Hello guys,
so i bumped my head on a cupboard and it started bleeding right away. It seems that i bump my head often now that i don't have hair. It seems that the hair protected you from hitting your head.
So the question is: should I wait until my scalp heals or should i shave normally? It's there any way to speed up the healing process?
I added a pic with the cut.
Thank you

OOH, thats one thing I don't want to do -- bang my hairless head. It just "seems" more painful without hair, I think. My advice; don't shave over it. Shave but skip the wound, and get your partner to cut off the hair around the wound with a scissors until it heals.

Ouch! So sorry that happened....what I do is when I am at home for an extended period, I wear a bandage over the cut...but when out in public, I would just put some Neosporin/Clear liquid bandage/or a clear square bandage. At least it's on the top and not on the sides/back where it would be so obvious, Good luck and a speedy healing!

Doesn't look to bad. I would shave around it. Good luck.

Yeah, been there, done that. I stood up right into a fluorescent light fixture. The fixture did not survive.
I shaved around the wound until it healed.

I have also done this, once at work, and usually bleed like a stuck pig. I normally shave around the cut but then I use an electric to go over the wound so the hair does not get too long in that spot.

Whoa, mean one.

It's been noted several times that without the remnants of hair, our antenna that helped stop us from hitting our noggins are gone.

The wound does not look to be to deep, so I hope for a wish recovery.
Make sure it doesn't get infected or if it does apply the proper treatment (apply some local antibacterial/antiseptic cream or ask at a local pharmacy).
Don't use alcohol or Iodine, though they are good antiseptic, they prevent healing.
Wish you heal fast!

Those head wounds always bleed like a stuck pig, you would think you got your head chopped off. But we all have done it and Budda said what I have and usually will do. To stop any bleeding it you happen to nick it I use a stick for shaving. Not sure for razor nicks and cuts. You get a real sensation when you put it on

Living in Japan with low door frames I've done that dozens of times! As people said, shave around it!
