Glad to hear it Warhawk! I love the feeling of walking out of the gym after a killer workout where you really feel your muscles aching! Keep up the good work mate!

I've upped my running over the last couple of weeks and have been hitting the gym afterwards in order to build up a regular routine. The results are better fitting clothes and my muscle tone is picking up. After going sly and getting some more sun I definitely have a better attitude nowadays.

Slowly building up the endurance level after a long period of body neglect. I finished this week with 21 miles running, two weight sessions and included a bit of swimming into the mix.

Where do you guys get the energy? I must admit, one bad thing about me, I do not do any exercise, except for all my own garden work. (I have a big garden) No cardiovascular workouts -- this is bad for me, I know, but I am just not a physical person anymore. My mind seems to burn up all the calories. At school I was very active sport wise.
Fortunately I am slim and I have never had any weight issues. But the old ticker does need to be worked regularly.
Perhaps I will draw some inspiration here.

Well... there goes any chance of getting any lifting goals this month. I've done my shoulder again
I was doing 52.5 kg (115 lbs) bench press (which is no where near my maximum) and when I was on my last rep of my last set I was about to rack the bar and my shoulder started grinding big time and I almost dropped the bar on myself (I highly recommend people always using a spotter, even if they never need to help) and now I can't lift anything too heavy. So that is a couple of weeks away from chest and back exercises :S Now I just hope I can loose those last few pounds to reach my goal weight for the month!
Oh and might I add the day before I injured my shoulder (last Wednesday) I split my head open with a mattock at work...
Been in the wars this past week...

I hope you can draw some inspiration from us Waine too. I work 5 days a week as a landscaper. It is nothing for me to shovel 40 cubic metres of soil or toppings then go to the gym that night.
It is all about getting yourself into a routine, because once you are in the habit of going to the gym or just exercising in general you actually feel guilty about missing a session which makes you want to make the next one!

@Beardman-Sorry about your mishaps, a speedy recovery to you. Just curious, did you remove your avatar because of the head injury?

This thread is really motivating me. . . I hope you don't mind if I join in. Since May I have lost 28 pounds and am swimming 45 - 60 mins 3 - 4 times per week. I hit the gym 1 - 2 times per week for cardio and weights. Definately need to up that. My July August goal is another 5 pounds towards the weight loss goal of 50 pounds . . . and build up my back and shoulder muscles. Thanks for the motivation. . . I am doing this on my own and it is good to hear from others working on their fitness levels.
