Great choice to join us Bucksfan. You will be amazed how much a part of your routine this becomes and how soon you will be at day 30. Enjoy showing the new look off and don't be shy about it. I agree about Headblade products- they do work well. Good luck and keep us posted.

Big day today - first day back to work and did a shower shave with the headblade sport and headslick.
Work went well - had a few double-takes and a few "why" questions, but overall positive comments.
Then, tonight, had a good workout and decided to try shaving in the shower with my new headblade. It gets much closer than my Mach 3 shaves have been thus far. Plus, I didn't scalp myself. Impressive. got out of the shower and cleaned up around the ears. Best shave yet.

Welcome.
Your new sly head is impressive. And to be a financial advisor ... bald just fits.

Looking good. Keep it going. Eventually, you will lose track of how long you have been shaving daily.

Thanks all, it was a great first week back to work - now at day 14 of being sly. No cuts / gashes, and only a bit of irritation at the end of shaving 7 days in a row. (I was doing about every 36 hours during my first week). Bump Patrol seems to work wonders. Also, only a few eyebrow hairs suffered accidental shaving in the shower.
Most clients / professional contacts either said nothing (sort of weird if you ask me) or commented how great my new look was, or a couple times that they are close behind me, if they ever get the balls to do so. I had one appointment where the client had a negative reaction at first (mostly shock I think) then by the end of our meeting said that she really liked my head bald, that it fit me well and I looked good.
I honestly can't say I got a negative reaction yet - a lot of shock and inquisitive looks, but no negative comments. Easily over 20 positive comments.
On a side note, I spent a lot of time and energy putting a plan in place to get my head tanned approximately to the same degree of my face. I tried to not get my face and neck tan for the 2 weeks leading up to the shaving date, took the following week off and spent a good amount of time in the sun - starting with 20 mins in the morning and 20 in the afternoon each of the first 3 days. Then, I gradually added exposure during the noon hour, and eventually all-day (with significant sunscreen). I never burned, and now by the end of week 2 it is pretty well matched, and I can stop worrying about it.
The week off also gave me an opportunity to get nice and comfortable with my new look before having to answer the questions from co-workers and others. I also spent a lot of time during that week off in public, which I think helped.

Just as a follow-up, I made it 30 days (actually 32 as of today) and couldn't be happier about my decision. I plan to continue shaving the dome indefinitely at this point, no real reason not to.
I thoroughly enjoy the act of shaving, like the look, and really love the "no hassle" approach to dealing with my hair.
