Hello and welcome Smoothteen.  The Headblade, without doubt.  Its a good start, and good enough to go straight into...

I'm partial to the Schick Hydro 5, but the Fusion, M5, and Mach 3 are all great razors as well.  About to try a double edge safety razor sometime this week!

I used Headblade my first time sly about 3 years ago. Now, on sly the second time around, I use Mach 3 and enjoy the Mach better.

I think that everyone has their favorites, so you won't get a consensus. I have a schick hydro 5 and a Head blade. I use them both. I always like the head blade, but sometimes the Schick is helpful for mowing the lawn.

Another HeadBlade fan ... after the initial blades I kept the razor but switched to the black adapter (included) with Gillette CustomPlus3 blades.

I'm a straight razor user (mostly)....but my handheld razor of choice currently is the Schick Quattro...As a headshaver, 200 guys are going to probably give you 200 different answers, the honest answer is the best razor for you is something you have to discover for yourself...even if it means experimenting for months. Good Luck!

@ Smoothteen. Some well presented comments here.  Yup, we can give our opinions on which razors we think are the best, but you will have to do the whole "Trial and error" thing.  If you are going to be a daily shaver, you may want to consider how much you are willing to pay for cartridges as the Gillette Fusion and Schick 5 blades will rip a hole in your pocket.

The Headblade with cheaper generic cartridges and a Double Edge razor for my face is what I personally enjoy, and it won’t damage my bank balance.

Happy shaving, and enjoy the journey of discovery.
