Hello fellow chrome domes: Hope all is well with U and your families. What is your favorite safety razor? I'll start. I have been experimenting with several DE razors and my current two favorites are the EJ89L (Edwin Jagger) and the Weber DLC with Bulldog Handle. The EJ is made in England & the Weber DLC is made in the good ole USA. Both give me a great face & head shave.
So... how 'bout U? What's your current favorite safety razor? I would love 2 hear your story?

My favourite is presently the Merkur Slant 37C.
That might change when my Cobra Classic arrives in about a week though, we shall see!

One more for the 37C.
But....in the moment there is a little preference for the open combs. I have two of the Merkurs, the 985 and the 41c and they both give me a real close and smooth shave, best with the Astra Superior blade. Also my Dr. Dittmar open comb does a good job.
I think the open combs are on the way to push the 37c to second place because I have the feeling they are a little bit more gentle to my skin.

I use a Merkur Futur (Satin finish) on setting number 3 usually. I've tried it on my head a few times but the results have always been mixed. So for now, it is my face razor of choice.

Edwin jagger DE87bl. There's something about the blade angle that just works for me.

@ Bluebriz & Stevie Hood: The slant razor is very intriguing.
@ Bluebriz: The Cobra Classic is a sweet looking razor. Congrats on pulling the trigger on this fine hybrid SE razor
@ D o u g: The Futur is a futuristic looking razor and an aggressive one
@ Bucksfan: The Edwin Jagger razor will always have a place in my shave den.

A week of using the Cobra Classic has shot it to number one of my personal chart. In fact, as someone who has previously switched razors often every single day, to use the same razor the last 8 times is a personal record!

Awesome BlueBriz
Thanks for sharing. I hope this thread stays active and that DE uses will review their DE's here so that any other aspiring DE shavers can make an informed decision as to what razore to acquire.

Merkur 34c, wouldn't say it's my favourite as its the only one I have ever used. Handle is a tad small though.

Merkur has a long-handled 180 model available for around $30 Mahaw90. Are you looking to change or happy with what you have?

Mike, I have my eye on this DE. I am keen to know how you go with it. I would also like to see a photo to check out what model you got.

Waine.... I ordered the DE89L. The "L" indicates that it has engraved lines that run the length of the handle. The non "L" version has a plain handle.
