Hey guys, I just joined sbg after lurking for a little while. I am 21 years old and have been receding since I was a young lad. Until recently I had pretty long hair, and have only just started to cut it pretty close. I love the freedom of having a #1 or a no guard buzz and ever since I joined this site, the idea of going sly is looking more and more appealing. Just want to say props to everyone who rocks the sly, and thank you for all the information and insight.

Welcome to SBGs Mike (I presume!)

If you're already shaving it that close then you could try the sly look tonight/tomorrow morning and it would grow back to your usual style in a few days max. You've got nothing to lose! If you fancy trying it out then the urge won't go away any time soon, trust me.

Looking at your pic I think it would suit you anyway.

I'll add to the other guys encouragement - if you're cutting that close already, you really ought to go for the shave and have that experience. I'd just about guarantee that you'll stay with the clean shaved look without hesitation.
