Day 1 - Been on again and off for too long
« on: May 24, 2012, 01:10:55 PM »
Day 1 of the re-connection with the sly look. I have been back and forth for over five years and don't think I ever made it through 30 days to really give it a chance, however, I have consistently admired the look. The shadow has always been my issue but I realize it will diminish over time but you have to be committed.

Gotta try the 30 day challenge at least once! It's a good look for you. I just passed the 5 year mark on consistent slyness myself. Still lovin every minute of it!

Once you persevere for a while, it's hard to stop, it's all about letting the guy in the mirror get to know the guy inside your head... Once they're chums, they won't let the hairy guy come back. Also congrats Nate, that's a big milestone!

Thanks all for the encouragement. Looking forward to tomorrows shave and sticking with a routine. Interested to see some of the reactions on the golf course this weekend with buddies and my weekly Saturday cycle ride with the crew. Gonna be fun!!

Your story is similar to mine...before Spring 2008, I only shaved my head when a. I got a messed up haircut or b. I was going on military maneuvers for more than two weeks....After the forehead got bigger and bigger, I just followed through as the result of a lost bet and haven't looked back....Just wanted to let you know that I'm a former back and forth guy too...Good Luck!

Reason enough to stay sly. Always reactions from other to look forward to.

Stay the golf and sly course.

@Mr Jules: it's day 6 and shaved everyday so far. It's already become a daily habit which isn't a problem. Like my workouts, I feel guilty if I don't do it.

Way to go! Glad to see you're committed, the 30 days will fly by!

The worst thing one can have through life is a regret.....As Sheryl Crow says....If it makes you happy, it can't be that bad.....so as Mr. Z says, what are you waiting for?
