closer shave
« on: May 22, 2012, 06:48:48 PM »
Anybody else besides me feel you get a cleaner closer shave with the multi blade razors? today i used a b.i.c hybrid razor the one with four blades and to me it just cuts the hair a lot closer its cleaner and leaves your dome + face a lot smoother do you agree?

I often got the best results with the Gillette Atra which is a double blade. Recently started using the Gillette Sensor Excel triple blades and don't think I'm getting as good a result personally. However, everyone's rituals and routines are different and therefore, not everything will work the same for everyone.

Right now I'm using Gillette Fusion Proglide and it doesn't get the top of my head a close as I would like. I have had pretty good results with Wilkinson blades in the past and I might check them out again once I use up my last catridge.

Been using Mach 3 razors since I started close shaving my head about 5 years ago. Consistently smooth every time.  8)

Ever since I started using a shaving brush, I rotate between twin blade disposables and my straight edge razor. I'm learning to shave in the shower and it seems to go faster than sink shaving...

Antonio, I recommend trying the Atra's or the Wilkinson Sword equivalent. These are double blade cartridges and they work better than the four or five blade type. If you feel you need multiple blades try the Mach III; still one of the best for a great shave.

I do plan to go back to the Wilkinson blades. The ones I used before contoured to my head much easier and therefore gave me a closer shave.

Went back to the Wilkinson Sensitive Disposables over the weekend. Worked great. Bye bye Fusion!
