Welcome Darrell, glad to have you here.  You are not  the first who has wished that they had shaved their head years ago.  I would have never thought going sly would be helping you health-wise, but I'm glad it does.  I always like to learn something new each day, and I have -- I would have never guessed that the Marines would have an official (or unofficial for that matter) quilt.  Thanks for sharing your story and for your service to our country.   O0
How is that Hopey / Changey thing working for you?

Hey browny, how's everything going with your son?  Unless this is the son???  Then welcome son.  It's nice to hear from you again.  Give us an update.

Thanks for remembering.  We have done the rounds of the dermatologists and found one guy who is a tricologist (scalp specialist - I didn't even know they existed).  He found Cameron's iron levels were really low and said he has telogen effluvium.  This is a condition where the hair goes into a resting phase (as everyone's does) but his resting phase has gone on for 6-12 months.  This can be made worse by stress.  Honestly, I still feel he will start balding early but I am hoping he can hang on to finish high school.  He still wears his hat 24/7.  I still check in to the forum and talk to him about it. I love you all and have found great support here.

Great to hear from you again.  Sorry to hear that your son is still having a hard time excepting his "hair condition."  Have you had any luck on getting him to log in to get some support from us?  Best of luck with everything.  Keep us posted.  take care.  O0
