Hello fellow chrome domes:
Have U ever postponed a shave because U were anxiously waiting 4 your new shaving toy of the week/month? or have U postponed a shave because U wanted 2 "wait" until U purchased your new shaving item?
I'll start: I postponed a shave because I was anxiously waiting 4 my 1st modern day DE razor (Edwin Jagger EJ89L) to arrive. When it did... I quickly rushed 2 prepare myself with my new shaving toy. So.. how 'bout U? Have U ever postponed or waited on a shave because of an upcoming new shaving product? Was it a razor? brush? cream? soap? gel? What's your story?

Never did. I just shave every day. If/when a new item comes along, I'm ready to use it, but I don't hold back on my daily shave to wait for the new gadget.

On occasion I have postponed a shave to get a slight amount of growth. It seems the best shaves for me are after about two days of growth .. so if I am getting bumps or my shave isnt lasting as long as I want it to I wait a day or two.

Same thing for me.
If I use my electric razor for a few days, that sandpaper feel comes back quickly. So it makes easier to find the spots which I've missed when I use the Headblade.

I would do this now and then when trying a new shave cream. Mainly to see how soft it made the hair.
I haven't switched brands on anything for over a year now, though, so not any time recently.

I wouldn't say postpone, but rather build anticipation lol
I have just misses two days due to work and it is killing me. However I just couldn't bring myself to get up at 5am......

Yes that's the word: anticipation.

Going to skip tomorrow's morning shave. Yes, it will be hard. Tomorrow night, throwing a small boozy party for an occasion. Before the guests arrive, I will make time to shave smooth and shine up the head.
Got to the stage where I feel self consciences if there is so much as a micrometer of stubble. Convinced it makes me a look like long haired hippy.

Lol I'm not quite that bad yet !
But I will skip my morning ritual if I know I have an event on at night. Or on my days off, sleep in and go for a midday scrape!

Well that was worth the anticipation. A particular fine smooth shave. A nice gloss finish, too.
Now I can entertain with confidence.

I have skipped if I know I'm having an event later in the day. I don't think I skipped waiting for a new piece of kit. I don't think I could stand the sandpaper feel.

I did that recently when I decided to try out one of those newer multi-blade dohickeys. Although I liked it, I felt stubble a few hours later, and the idea of shelling out money constantly to buy new cartridges made me go back to my beloved safety razor.
