So, since sly, amongst other things, I noticed that:
I'm easy recognizable.. I was in a club with some girl, staring her in the face ( with the back to the crowd dancing), and some guy comes and says : "Hey, Paul, what ya' doing here?" The point is: He did not seen my face, but he knew it was me

( since there are VERY few bald guys in my city).
Other thing I noticed is that I can now actually stare at people while they do the same.
I walk on the street, and a person stares at my head. I stare him/her back, so he/she quickly turns her look away ( thing impossible before being sly, 'cuz I was like : " She/he looks at my shitty curly hair" ).
Any of you noticed these or other "weird" things since sly?

Nope... Common to see sly guys around here. On a funny note, we had an Inspection Team visit and one of the team members was trying to locate which office I worked in and reffered to me as "milk dud"...

I agree that being bald makes us standout and easily recognizable. I have a client who always mistakes me for another salesman because we are both bald. Too bad I did not get the chance to meet this other sly brother.

It seems pretty common here in Canberra.

I did however have a colleague say that if he didn't know me, he would be scared of me on a dark night!

the fact that I'm bald also allows me to do jokes like in the attached pic ( also the current avatar )

I think that my wife likes it as she can find me in a crowd. Just look for the bald head!

We do have bald guys nearby, but not too many. I still stand out.

Know what you mean.

People seem to remember me for my shiny head, not for actually being bald. The other day, a relative asked if I use Pledge on my head.

(Pledge is a popular UK brand of furniture polish. You have it in the US, too ?)

ROFL, I had a sortlike encounter with this little girl on the bus. She and her sister were playing and she'd sometimes step on my food. TBH, I really didn't mind. But after stepping on my foot one more time, she noticed and she turns her head over her shoulder, she sees my face and I could read the fear off of the poor girl.

My intimidation points have certainly gone up up up, and I like it very much.

Mr. Jules -- Yes, Pledge is in U.S. and DOES leave a shine !
I was asked if I get charged extra for tanning my whole head ... LOL.
At restaurant on Sat. evening, I walked up to this sly guy at the bar and said, "mine is shinier than yours .... nah, nah, nah". I thought he was going to choke laughing and drinking.

Must remember that one. Because I am pretty convinced that I have the shiniest dome in London. Well, I like to think so.

Same. It's a guilty pleasure, indeed. It especially helps if you look pissed off.

As for the OP, I'm the only one out of all my friends and family and coworkers that shaves his head bald, so I can be recognized by them a mile away. Well, I do have another coworker who shaves his head, but he is of a much darker skin color, so there's absolutely no room for confusion there.
