Cool just keep the back pad or wheels on the Sport on your scalp and take it slow. Bear in mind you will still need another razor to get the area around the ears reall smooth
good luck

Right on Jay!   O0

Like Tim said and very little downward pressure!  I just close my eyes and feel my way around using my left hand to find the stubble and move the HeadSlick where needed.
Shaving in the shower works great for me.  I follow up when done with a cold water scalp rinse to tighten things up, then of course "glossy" HeadLube!   O:O

Look forward to hearing how you like the headblade. The first use seemed a little strange, but now I won't use anything else. A much smoother and easier shave than with the Mach 3.

I think I am going to take mine back off the shelf. I tried it twice and couldn't get use to it...all the rave reviews have got me curious again.

I think I'm with you.  I used mine twice and cut a big chunck out of my scalp. I had just about sworn it off.  But, the scalp has just now healed.  I think I might be ready to try it again.

Any advice on which blade is best for the Headblade??? :/O

Hey, all: Need your advice. For taking the first time plunge, do you suggest the headblade or a regular razor (mach 3 or something) until your scalp gets used to the scrapin'? My barber used the straight edge on the sides and back today.

wow...now i see how this sly thing can get in your melon.

now i'm thinking i'm going to shave back and sides smooth myself for the long weekend. sorry that's as sly as i've gone...only took two weeks. still have about 1/4 inch butch on top.

wannatry..i think the majority of us used a regular quality razor for the first time then ordered a headblade.. a few might have started with a HB though...i used a fusion...the mach3 is an excellent first shave razor....do it in the shower and use a cheap handheld mirror from walmart...just take your time...use hot water ,lots of shaving cream and new blade.

SLYinKC, I have been using the Gillette sensor 3, they work good and are close together so less nics. I have only nic'd myself once and it was with my mach3.

Wannatry, I started shaving my head with the headblade after the post on it here. Figured if I was going to learn to shave my head might as learn the headblade with it all at once. I did try my mach3 one day and got my first nic. Only use it for around my ears now. I strongly suggest running cold water on your fresh shaved head to close the pores. Makes a big difference for myself.
(Modified) Also, I suggest shaving oil like headslick versus cream or gel. It keeps the blade better lubricated and less irritation.

I bought the sport today and I liked how easy it was to use though it took some getting used to.    I'm waiting on a new norelco to be sent to my house as my other died(luckily under warranty), but i'll probably mix and match which razor I use just to vary things up every now and then.

I had a hard time figuring out how to get the atra blade on the sport, but finally figured it out so it is good to go.
