Hey guys!

I've been out of contact for a while, but now I'm back and trying my best to keep in touch with the community. I do need everyone's help though. Since I've been MIA from SBG I've also grown my hair back out, and am thinking about going back to shaved. I'm trying to see if this is a good move or not though.

I'm lucky in the sense that I don't have MPB or any conditions where sly is the only solution, I'm just a BBC man. The only worry is my whole business is based on appearances. I'm a lifestyle / fashion photographer, and I'm worried the sly look might intimidate potential clients and cost me in the end. I'm just looking for any opinions from people who've mad this change in their lives and know the ins and outs. When I was last sly my business was more so underground than it is today, and I'm just cautious because people in this industry are very much invested in looks.

tough call for those of us that don't know you well.

I'm BBC. I speak in public from time to time in my work.  It's not a problem.  I've not received negative feedback about the bald look.  On the contrary, I frequently get the comment, "You look like a professor." Said in a positive way.

I can't imagine why any potential clients would care what a photographer looks like. And you don't look intimidating in the least. Stop worrying about it and shave your head.

All of that long hair in this picture makes you a bit like a teen rather a professional photographer. Particularly with the very light  sort of beard you had. The sly look gives you an edge and seems more mature to me.

In my experience once you experience going slyeven as a bbc the desire never goes, the desire to see your shining dome in the mirror

Your website is designed well, Kyle !  What is wrong with BBC ?  It fits you !  Don't you have BBC or MPB clients?  You don't photo shoot weddings with a bald groom ?  You look mature when sly. What type of clients are you exactly after ?  Justin Bieber clients ?  You said that your industry is invested in looks, which is true, so you got the looks with a bald head!  You're lucky to go BBC to hair and BBC again.  Do it, enjoy it, show the mature and creative side of yourself ! I'd sooner trust a bald young man doing photography than a kid with messy and unkept hair.

I like the avatar picture most, and if I, as cliend will see you bald, I'll be ok with you.
now, it depends if you really can choose your clients

I think I would worry more about the quality of work more than what hairstyle the photographer is wearing......Let's go to the other extreme...do you think that if you had hair past your shoulders would it be a deal breaker? Probably not, so why should a bald head be a deal breaker? Good Luck!

Thanks guys for all the input! My Wedding clients are only about 30 percent of my business the rest is more Fashion clients, and they are some weirdos. I asked my agent and she said screw em, so I'm going back to sly! I love how honest you guys are here! :-D . I think I'm going to get out of Fashion Photography and stick to Weddings, Brides don't care about your hair as long as you don't look like a hippie! HEHE

Looking at your picture in full screen and not on the ipad  I think it looks amazing and I think you will attract buisnes  by such a  smart appearance  , go easy on the  sun , gently  to get  a slow tan
