Bleaching caused by Headslick
« on: March 27, 2012, 05:24:55 AM »
Hey guys,
All my towels are getting bleached patches on them, and this has only started since I went sly, headslick is the only addition to my routine. Do any of you have any experience with this?

Check the ingredient list. Does it contain, for example, either benzoyl peroxide or hydrogen peroxide? Benzoyl peroxide is found in a lot of skin care products and can bleach pretty dramatically over time.

Back in my bad acne days I eventually gave up on all benzoyl peroxide products. My clothes, towels, pillow cases, sheets, etc. were getting bleached from the products I was using. No matter how carefully I put the stuff on my face my eyebrows and hairline would get bleached too -- brown hair will get an orangish cast to it.

Or get an old washcloth or something you're willing to sacrifice and put some Headslick on it for a few hours and see what happens.

I'm a regular HeadSlick user and haven't noticed any bleaching on the towels.

I have not seen this either.  I have dark blue towels that I have used often!

Been using HeadSlick for over 4 years and I haven't experienced this. Like MikeKoz13 all of my towels are white.
Tis better to have a bald head than no head at all.

That's a good question to post to the headblade support people.

I use headslick daily.  Have not noticed a problem.

No problem at all here with HeadSlick in the five years I've used it, and I use towels in colors and white.
Is there any other product you use, perhaps for acne or facial cleansing?

Nope but I think I've found the culprit, a flat mate does use acne treatment and has been wiping his hands on my towel!
