St. Ives Apricot Scrub
« on: May 04, 2007, 10:09:44 PM »
Based on some recommendations I wanted to try the St. ives Apricot scrub. When I went to check out my local Walgreen's, there were four versions of the scrub. Anyone know which one I should get (I was thinking the one labeled for "oily" skin to prevent blocked pores), but would like to hear which one people are using.

I use "Invigorating" because it's the most exfoliating of all of them. I really like it a lot, even better than HeadShed, I think.

I use the one with blemish control to avoid getting pimples.

Ditto on Tyler's choice of the blemish control version

I use blemish & blackhead control, cause that's all the store had.  I prefer the Headshed, but I'm about out and my order hasn't arrived yet.  Anyhow, the St. Ives really dries out my skin, much more than Headshed.

I use both during my shave - HeadShed before I shave, St. Ives to scrub it clean afterward.  Probably overkill, but I don't get bumps very often.

I picked up the "Smoothing" version at the commissary, it was all they had.  I don't recommend it...it's more of a body wash, not much exfoliating action at all. :(

Clinique for Men has a fantastic facial scrub with menthol.

I might just try it on the noggin.

Invigorating here as well. There are so many scrubs out there but St Ive is inexpensive and lasts a good while. I use in Midweek Wednesday and on Saturday in the shower

St. Ives is owned by Alberto-Culver.

It should remain priced accordingly. If they ever jack up the price, move on.
