I'm new.. I'm probably not doing this right..
« on: February 26, 2012, 09:31:59 PM »
Well I hope this is where to make an introduction because I really am not forum-savvy. Or internet savvy. So yeah, I'm 17, and I joined because I desperately need opinions on my head shape.. Yeah I know everyone says that you always find problems but you look fine. But my head shape actually is a little whacky. I'm not sure how to put a picture up but I will figure it out hopefully. I've had just stubble on my head plenty of times since I was like 15. And I've had mohawks where the sides were nearly bald. But I actually shaved my head with a razor yesterday morning. I've always known my head shape was a little weird but when you have a short buzz cut [and I mean short enough to be mistaken for bald from far away] your head shape doesn't really matter too much. But being shiny bald is different. If I'm gonna keep this [and I do want to] I really need to get some brutally honest opinions. But I'll save that for when I actually can upload some pictures. Basically the back of the top of my head rises. And my forehead isn't that tall so I guess thats why the back looks high. Plus the back of my head kinda goes straight down. I don't know. I was told that it was 'wonky' by one of my friends and I need to know if this is a good looking head shape for a bald guy. I mean I know its not 'good' but I need to know its at least decent and not weird looking. So I'm just letting people know that I'm not sensitive, I really just need to hear the truth. Be as blunt as you want. Anyway I just thought I'd get this intro done. I just joined so hopefully I end up being ok with keeping my bald head. I'm not shaving it again until I get some feedback though. So thanks for reading. Again, if I'm posting in the wrong place or something I'm sorry.

Ok I'm not gonna retype and edit my novel up here ^ but I just found the additional options to upload a pic lol.. Yeah right in front of me..  :/OU

If it's not right for baldness then I'll just keep a short buzz cut I guess. Negativity is welcome though, be honest... I hope this picture upload works.

It doesn't look bad, but any perceived imperfections might be exaggerated by the shadows in the photo.  Take another picture in brighter lighting and I bet it will look a lot better.

Bottom line is you wanted to be bald.  And now you are.  Enjoy it, be proud of it and don't worry about what anybody else thinks.

Hey!

To be completely honest, looks like a great head shape to be sly.

I think it looks pretty good....but I think we can appreciate it more if you took a picture from the front angle (if you want to)

Well I wanted to know if it looked ok in this picture because this picture does kind of show a weirdish shape. I would have uploaded more but I didn't have enough space. From the front it looks pretty normal. My head looks a little small but all around the front angle is fine to me. Its really weird because the picture does seem like my head looks better than it does in real life. But I'm probably going to keep it. As soon as my 'beard' can grow thicker I hope that will make the whole look better. Anyway thanks for the support

Thanks. Honestly I don't mind how it looks from the front. But you know you always see yourself from the front [in the mirror] but 95 percent of the time people are looking at you, it isn't from the front, its weird because I feel like I look like a completely different person from the side angles. But yeah here is me from the front

Looks fine to me. You have to remember, embrace and celebrate diversity and the fact that we are all different. That goes for the shape of your noggin too  O0

Keep it SLY cuz it looks good and you have great head shape.   Don't let friends tease you.  They are jealous.  Little facial hair will add some ecitement.  Welcome to SBG !  Hope you stay and have fun !

Hello and welcome K.  The head shape is fine.  We are all guilty of being too self critical.

I think you look great.  Everybody has a somewhat different shape head.   You have had the courage for a Mohawk so going sly shouldn't present yourself with an unusual problem in confidence.

It's hard to tell with the shadow in the picture. It does look like it goes up a little after the rounded part but I don't think it makes you look bad. I don't think anyone on the street will be be saying "look at the freak". So it's a little different. Who cares?

Thanks you are definitely right. Actually on the way home from school today I decided I would keep it. Having it shaved feels like I'm one solid piece of matter you know? As in I feel more like a single body compared to having hair where it just feels different. Idk if that makes sense. But I realized that I value that feeling more than how I look. Also I realized that my head shape isn't going to change just because my hair is there.. And whatever. You look how you look. And like that other guy said, diversity isn't a bad thing. So true.
