I got my headblade yesterday and tried it for the first time this morning.  Like many others have said, the first time was not as successful as I had hoped.  I have been using a Mach 3 and had yet to nick or cut myself (at least on the noggin).  But his morning, out of nowhere, there was a stream of blood coming from the top of my head.  I didn't even feel the cut.  Then I looked at the blade and saw what I thought was a thin piece of paper caught between the blades.  That thin piece of paper turned out to be a piece of my scalp.

I also noticed that I didn't get as close of a shave as I have been getting with the Mach 3.  Maybe this is because I have not mastered the technique.  I'll try it again tomorrow.

Any advice???? :/O

Try not to get discouraged after the first time since it is a little awkward. As others have said, try not to put pressure on the blade end (easier said than done). It really seems to glide smoothly when I prepare my scalp well. Warm water (I shave in the shower) then a layer of oil (I use Hot Six) then HeadSlick. I go front to back first, then back to front.
I too went from a Mach 3 to the Headblade, and had more nicks with the Mach3, none yet with the Headblade.
Good luck....let us know what happens with your second try.

KC, check out the HeadBlade 101 video, Tom recommended it to me when I first started and it was a big help.  Hope next shave goes better

Paul, I've been looking for it too and haven't seen it in any of the stores around here.

You may want to test out different blades with the HeadBlade.  I've found that I like that Atra and Sensor blades the best.  The Sensors are my ultimate favorite.

Thanks PP, if no one else has seen it either, I think I'll email Mac and ask if they distribute to stores and which ones, if not when will they.

I have seen HB Sport and Headslick at Walgreens, unfortunately they don't carry Clearhead or Lube.  Everything else I order directly from HB about a week before I run out of what I need.

Well, I dont use HeadBlade anymore, I am happy with my Gillette Fusion. It works just  fine, and better than the HeadBlade.

I can hardly wait for all my HeadBlade stuff to arrive. It should be here tomorrow or Thursday. I really went all out - HeadBlade Sport, HeadShed, HeadLube Matte, HeadSlick, and HeadShade Sunscreen. Once you've shaved the noggin there is no going back.  O0

Darrell

Got all my HeadBlade Stuff. Shaved today with the HeadBlade Sport. All I can say is, Wow!! Shaved against the grain and my head was like the surface of a bowling ball. Didn't nick myself at all. Just followed the directions. All the lotions are great is well.  Thanks HeadBlade for such wonderful products.  O0

Noticed in my last two classes I have facilitated more and more SLY(15-20%). I always ask if they use HeadBlade products and tell them about SBGs. I'm teaching in Maine this week and one student mentioned their products were hard to come by in this area. I directed him to his local CVS and he got the HB Sport and HeadSlick yesterday...he came into class very pumped up about it this morning, apparently he adapted to it right away and loves it!
