Happy Thought

Man I just had a happy thought. I never really struggled with the decision to be sly; one day I just did it in March I think of 2007. I had one session of transplants when I was 19. I thought why in the hell did I do that months later. I can't even afford it and you have to go back they rip your skin off your head it is gross etc... I tried rogaine, proscar, but one day a friend told me "Why don't you just shave it off. Who cares about the scar. Just tell 'em you were in a car accident or something which I dont even do anymore I just tell the truth and tell people never to do it. I realizes I was just prolonging it and I was just so tired of my hairline. I kept it buzzed just enough to conceal my hair transplant scar and I had what I called train tracks on my head. I was a little worried about the scar and what my hair transplants would look like. I guess I am lucky because although I do have a scar I don't have those "punchhole" scars. So I got over it and just picked up the clippers I had been using, took the guard off, and started buzzing and then just went to shaving like I do my face. After the end result I looked at the scar and thought well I'll just have to get over it. Over the days and esp. few years after my first shave the scar doesn't bother me. I am grateful for this decision. But hey, I was just thinking, if I could magically grow hair all of a sudden and have my hair back, hairline, etc... I would still shave my head!!!! I like it better this way!!! I just wanted to share that little happy thought. And I want to say to you guys that have good hairlines and choose to shave, mega kudos. There's one thing about being bald. It's neat!

I'd like the option to grow it back if I could, you know atleast to not feel limited to one look. With that being said over these past few months ive definetly fell in love with my sly look. I think itd be kind of wierd seeing me with hair now, even though its only been 3 months.

Yeah I actually used a pic of Satch for my Facebook profile pic for a while. No one knew the difference except those that have known me over the past few years since I went sly.

I've got MPB and although some people say I have "gorgeous" hair (their words, not mine) I just don't want to be the comb over guy and that's what's happening. I've got that monk's spot (what do you call that?) on the back-top of my head and the forehead is getting bigger every year. I can't say I'll never grow it back, but I prefer it sly today.
Besides, it gives me an excuse to buy and wear hats and I love hats when I don't have to care about my hair.
